The 3rd season of the Women’s Premier League is now near completion, the group stage completed with the match between defending Champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Mumbai Indians. Now it’s time for the playoffs matches and this article will discuss all the things you need to know about the upcoming WPL 2025 Playoffs.
Road To playoffs
The Women’s Premier League has very interesting playoff qualification criteria. The team that ends up at the top position after the group stage will directly qualify for the finals. While there will be an eliminator match between the team in 2nd position and the team in 3rd position. The team winning in this match will be the second finalist.
WPL 2025: Playoffs Schedule
Two matches will be played in the WPL 2025 playoffs. The first game, the Eliminator, will be played on 13 February between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Giants. The finals will be played between the Delhi Capitals and the eliminator’s winner on 15 March.

WPL 2025: Playoffs Timings
Both the playoff matches, the eliminator match, and the final match will start at 7:30 pm, with the toss happening half an hour before.

Both the eliminator and final match will be broadcast on the Sports18 network and will be live-streamed on the JioHotstar app.
WPL 2025: Season So far
A total of 20 matches have been played this season in the group stage, with each team competing in 8 matches, two against each opponent. At the start of the season, Royal Challengers Bangalore won their initial two matches back to back and held the top position in the points table for nearly 10 days. However, the team lost the next five matches in a row, slipping down to the bottom half. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals, the table toppers, won 5 of the eight matches played and finished the group stage in first position, securing a direct entry into the finals.
Mumbai Indians also won 5 of the eight matches played, finishing the group stage in second place, while Gujarat Giants secured four victories out of 8 matches, concluding the group stage in third position. Up Warriors struggled the most, winning only three of the eight matches played, and ended their season in last place.
