The team won both matches against Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz while winning one and losing one against the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, and lost both matches against Delhi Capitals. After finishing the season in second place, Mumbai played their best cricket against Gujarat Giants in the eliminator, scoring a massive target of 213 runs while batting first, with contributions of 77 runs each from Hayley Mathews and season Orange Cap holder Nat Sciver-Burnt. While bowling, Mathews again excelled by taking three wickets and becoming the player of the match.
