Top Order
For the top order, the Delhi Capitals have three world-class batters: South African experienced batter Faf du Plessis and Australian explosive batter Jake Fraser-McGurk as the openers, while expert Indian batter Karun Nair occupies the third spot. Du Plessis is one of the most consistent batters in the IPL, having scored runs in almost every season. McGurk also had a great season with the Delhi Capitals last year, scoring 330 runs in the nine matches played, while Karun Nair is coming off phenomenal form, scoring runs consistently in domestic cricket and making 9 centuries in the last domestic season.
Middle Order
In the middle order, the team will rely on Abhishek Porel, Tristan Stubbs, and KL Rahul as its backbone. Both Porel and Stubbs performed well for Delhi Capitals last season, while KL Rahul, the format captain of Lucknow Super Giants, is expected to play an important role in DC’s middle order this season.
