RCB 17/1 in 2 Overs – Kohli Settles In with a Confident Start!
Deepak Chahar joins the attack to share the new ball. Virat Kohli is on strike with Devdutt Padikkal at the other end.
Chahar starts with a teasing outswinger that Kohli drives firmly but straight to cover. A loud lbw shout follows next, but it’s turned down – too high and likely missing leg. Kohli then gets going with a couple of neat flicks off the pads, showing early intent.
He adds a boundary too – a short ball pulled away to square leg, not off the middle, but good enough for four!
A steady over from Chahar but Kohli already looks in rhythm. 9 runs come off it.

Padikkal walks in at number 3 and begins confidently with a glorious cover drive for four. However, Boult finishes the over with tight lines, conceding just 8 runs and picking up a big wicket.
