“Virat Kohli has that Aura. Australia fully respects Virat for what he has done for game and what he’s still doing now. He’s probably one player who sort of comes at you. He loves playing against us. He scored a lot of runs & a lot of Hundreds against us” said Hazlewood.
Kohli boasts an impressive record in Australia; the right-handed batter has featured in 64 matches on Australian soil, amassing 3,616 runs, including 12 centuries, with a top score of 169. His latest appearance in Australia was during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, where he registered an unbeaten century in the opening Test of the five-match series. Notably, he is the first Indian captain to secure a Test series victory in Australia.
Currently competing in the IPL, Kohli played an unbeaten 59-run knock during RCB’s tournament opener against Kolkata Knight Riders on March 22. The star batter is presently in Chennai gearing up for the upcoming match against CSK.
