Lucknow Super Giants’ star batter Nicholas Pooran has apologised to his teammate Ravi Bishnoi for dropping a catch of Travis Head during their IPL 2025 match against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Pooran’s Apology After Dropping Head’s Catch
The incident happened on the first ball of the sixth over when Bishnoi came on to bowl. Travis Head tried to attack the spinner with a lofted straight drive. Pooran, who was positioned straight, couldn’t hold on to the catch and ended up dropping an easy one. Head was batting on 35 runs when Pooran dropped his catch, giving him a lifeline. However, he couldn’t make the most of it as Prince Yadav dismissed him in the eighth over of the innings.
After LSG’s five-wicket win against SRH, they posted a video on their social media where Pooran is seen apologising to Bishnoi for dropping a catch.

“Because 70(26) was not a good enough apology for Bishi” captioned LSG. “I am apologizing, I dropped your catch. Of who? Of Travis L. I am really really sorry. You should be sorry. I hope it doesn’t happen again,” said Pooran.
Nicholas Pooran was the highest run-getter in the SRH vs LSH clash as the batter smashed 70 off 26 while chasing 190 runs.
LSG’s Strong Comeback and Victory
After being put in to bat, SRH struggled to get going, losing five wickets within the first 15 overs while managing to score 128 runs. Shardul Thakur was the star with the ball for LSG, delivering a brilliant spell. He made an immediate impact in his third over, dismissing the dangerous Abhishek Sharma and last match’s centurion Ishan Kishan off back-to-back deliveries. Shardul’s fiery spell saw him claim four wickets in his four overs, helping LSG restrict SRH to a total of 190 runs.
LSG had a shaky start to their chase after losing Aiden Markram early. But Mitchell Marsh and Nicholas Pooran stepped up with some powerful and effortless hitting, guiding LSG to their first win of the tournament.
