RCB vs DC Live Score- Tim David’s late fireworks propel Royal Challengers Bengaluru to 163/7 in their 20 overs- IPL

[Indian Premier League 2025.t20 – Delhi Capitals , Royal Challengers Bengaluru 2025-04-10 18:30:00]

Welcome to RCB vs DC live coverage! After 23 exciting matches, it’s time for match number 24 of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League, which will be played between two of the top performers of the IPL 2025, Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. The teams are coming off victories in their last games and promise an exciting match, given their form.

DC 134/4 after 16 overs – Stubbs Joins the Party!
What a momentum-building over for Delhi Capitals! Tristan Stubbs takes on Suyash Sharma with back-to-back boundary blows — a cracking back-foot drive for four followed by a towering six over long-on. He’s now on 27 off 18, playing the ideal finisher’s role.

KL Rahul continues to anchor the innings smartly, now on 74 off 47, shifting gears as required. Suyash Sharma finishes with figures of 4-0-25-1, decent overall, but that final over spoiled what could’ve been a tighter spell.

With 4 overs to go and set batters at the crease, DC will eye 170+ from here — especially with the drizzle in the air, which could help the ball skid nicely onto the bat. RCB need breakthroughs urgently, or this could slip away fast.

KL Rahul explodes – DC 121/4 after 15 overs!
What an absolute clinic from KL Rahul! He tears into Josh Hazlewood with a 22-run over, taking complete charge of the chase and shifting all momentum DC’s way. The over reads: 4, 4, 2, 2, 4, 6 – every shot calculated, controlled, and classy.

He’s now on 73 off 45 balls, accelerating at the perfect moment with just 5 overs to go. Hazlewood’s variations are being read like a book – whether it’s short, full, or off-speed, Rahul has answers for everything.

This could well be a match-defining over. With 59 needed off 30 balls, DC are back in pole position, especially with Rahul looking this fluent.

If RCB doesn’t break this stand soon, it might slip away fast.

It has started drizzling – DC are 6 runs ahead as per DLS at the end of 15 overs

DC 99/4 after 14 overs – Rahul gets to another fifty!
KL Rahul brings up back-to-back fifties in IPL 2025! It’s not the most convincing way to get there — a sliced aerial shot that landed safely — but it’s a well-crafted knock under pressure. He’s on 51 off 39, anchoring the chase beautifully.

Yash Dayal returns and keeps it tight, just 5 runs off the over, mixing his pace smartly and avoiding any damage. The boundary flow has momentarily halted, but with wickets in hand and Rahul set, DC is still in a strong position heading into the final 6 overs.

RCB will be eyeing a breakthrough now, this partnership is simmering and could erupt if they don’t strike soon.

DC 94/4 after 13 overs – Rahul Turns the Heat Up!
KL Rahul is shifting gears right on cue! After a quiet few overs, he pounces on Livingstone’s gentle offerings with a pull for four and a clean six down the ground. He’s now on 48 off 35, playing a captain’s knock and targeting the part-time spin with precision. Stubbs is doing his job quietly, rotating strike and giving Rahul the platform.

Livingstone’s first over went for 14, a gamble from RCB that hasn’t paid off. DC now have momentum on their side and a set batter nearing his half-century. This partnership could be dangerous if RCB doesn’t break it soon.

DC 80/4 after 12 overs – Momentum Shifting Slightly

That’s more like it for Delhi! 13 runs off Krunal Pandya’s over, and both Stubbs and Rahul played their parts:

  • Stubbs with a clever reverse-sweep for four to kick off the over.

  • Rahul followed up with a massive slog-sweep six his first six off Krunal in 79 balls, breaking a long-standing hold the spinner had over him!

This over-releases some pressure after the dry spell from Suyash. KL Rahul moves to 36(31) and is looking more confident now, while Stubbs is starting to find his rhythm on 11(10).

Still a long way to go, but this over could be the turning point for DC if they build on it.

DC 67/4 after 11 overs – Suyash Sharma Piling the Pressure

Another tight over from Suyash Sharma! Just 1 run off it, and that too thanks to Tristan Stubbs squeezing one through cover. He’s mixing up legbreaks and googlies, keeping it flat, and forcing both batters, especially KL Rahul, into a shell. Rahul now on 29 off 29, stuck after that lucky six a few overs ago. Stubbs is still settling in at 5 out of 6.

RCB have applied the squeeze beautifully after the powerplay. DC’s required run rate will start creeping up unless someone breaks the shackles soon.

DC 66/4 after 10 overs – Halfway Mark

A tidy first over from Krunal Pandya, conceding just 6 singles. He darted it in quick and kept things tight on a pitch offering some grip. Both KL Rahul (29 off 25) and Stubbs (4 off 4) are rotating the strike, but the big hits have dried up since Axar’s dismissal.

At this point:

  • DC needs a partnership to rebuild and then launch.

  • RCB spinners are doing a brilliant job choking the run flow.

  • The pitch seems a bit slow and two-paced, so anything above 150-160 could still be tricky.

Next few overs will be crucial—will DC consolidate or take a risk?

DC 60/4 after 9 overs – Suyash Strikes!

Big moment as Suyash Sharma removes Axar Patel! Trying to go big over extra cover, Axar ends up slicing it straighter than intended and finds Tim David at long-off. A googly-heavy over from Suyash, who mixes it up smartly with pace and flight. He’s turning out to be a trump card here for RCB with 2 tight overs and a wicket.

KL Rahul remains the key for DC, but with Tristan Stubbs new at the crease and the pitch not entirely trustworthy, it’s advantage RCB for now. Great phase of play coming up – DC need a partnership, and quickly.

Axar c Tim David b Suyash Sharma 15(11) [4s-2]

DC 52/3 after 8 overs – Rahul Rides His Luck
Hazlewood keeps it tight but KL Rahul’s top-edged pull off the fifth delivery sails over the keeper for six – a crucial but fortunate break for DC! Otherwise, it was a steady over with singles on offer. Hazlewood is varying his lengths smartly, using the short-of-length zone well on this pitch. Rahul now on 25 off 21 – playing a measured innings with the occasional release shot. Axar Patel is rotating strike nicely too. RCB still in control, but DC slowly rebuilding.

DC 42/3 after 7 overs – Suyash’s Silent Spell Puts Brakes
A fantastic first over from the impact sub Suyash Sharma! He mixes up his leggies and googlies beautifully, keeping KL Rahul guessing and drying up the boundaries. Just 3 runs from the over a much-needed quiet phase for RCB after a flurry of early boundaries. Rahul survives a sharp-turning googly and mistimes a few, showing signs of pressure creeping in.

End of Powerplay – DC 39/3 after 6 overs

Josh Hazlewood brings in some control, but Axar Patel counters with a cheeky boundary over short third to keep things ticking. Despite three early wickets, DC manage a mini recovery, adding 8 runs in the sixth.

🔹 KL Rahul: 14*(11) – Playing cautiously, anchoring the innings
🔹 Axar Patel: 7*(5) – Looking busy at the crease, that boundary was crucial

RCB will be the happier side at the end of the powerplay — three wickets and a run rate under 7. But DC still has firepower, and with the field spreading out now, the rebuild is officially on.

Would you like a quick comparison between the two teams at the end of their powerplays?

DC 31/3 after 5 Overs – Bhuvi Strikes Again!

Bhuvneshwar Kumar continues his dream spell, picking up his second wicket of the powerplay. Abishek Porel falls to a mistimed pull, sending a top edge sky-high that Jitesh Sharma grabs after a minor juggle. The surface seems to be sticking a bit, making timing tricky — something Delhi’s batters are learning the hard way.

KL Rahul holds the key now, but he’s starting to look a little bogged down. With Axar Patel joining him early, DC will hope this left-right pair can steady the ship before launching later. Josh Hazlewood’s entry promises no respite for the batters.

Abishek Porel c Jitesh Sharma b Bhuvneshwar 7(7) [4s-1]

DC 30/2 in 4 Overs – Rahul Gets a Life, Dayal Steady
Yash Dayal continues with a tidy over despite some drama. A dropped catch at extra cover gives KL Rahul a reprieve, and he makes it count immediately with a stylish lofted four over mid-off.

A couple of singles and a wide add to the total, but it’s the missed chance that might come back to haunt RCB.

DC 19/2 after 3 overs – RCB on top early!
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is on fire! After removing Faf in the first over, he now gets Jake Fraser-McGurk with a lovely seaming delivery – wild swipe, thick edge, and a sharp grab by Jitesh Sharma after a juggle. That’s both openers gone cheaply for Delhi.

KL Rahul looked classy with a gorgeous drive for four, but there’s already pressure mounting. Abishek Porel has shown some intent with a couple of twos, but Delhi needs a rebuilding phase now. Early advantage: RCB.

Want to keep tracking over-by-over or follow key moments only?

Fraser-McGurk c Jitesh Sharma b Bhuvneshwar 7(6) [4s-1]

DC 9/1 after 2 overs – du Plessis departs early!
Yash Dayal makes an immediate impact! Faf du Plessis never quite got going and eventually falls trying to force the pace—caught at mid-off for just 2 (7).

Fraser-McGurk, on the other hand, is showing intent with a lovely punch through covers for four and a smart two through mid-wicket. Early blow for Delhi, though—they’ll need stability now.

du Plessis c Rajat Patidar b Yash Dayal 2(7)

DC 1/0 in 1 Over – Bhuvneshwar on the Money
A textbook opening over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar—tight lines, subtle movement, and just a single off it.

He tested both du Plessis and Fraser-McGurk with clever variations, including one delivery that almost led to a run-out. DC’s openers look watchful, but the pressure is already building.

RCB finish on 163/7 after 20 overs

A chaotic final over from Mukesh Kumar- 19 runs, including 2 sixes, 3 wides, and a boundary off the last ball — as Tim David finishes strong with a superb 37 off 20*.

Despite the pressure, David held his nerve and showed his power-hitting range when it mattered most. Mukesh, who had bowled brilliantly until then, lost his radar under pressure, and those extras + freebies really cost Delhi.

Last 3 overs: 51 runs – huge momentum swing late in the innings!

RCB went from 112/5 in 14 overs to 163/7

RCB 144/7 after 19 overs – Tim David goes bang!

Tim David finally lets loose! After a period of consolidation and wickets falling around him, he takes on Axar Patel and smashes 17 runs off the over:

  • Two SIXES – one over cow corner and one sliced over long-off

  • A crisp FOUR – cut past backward point

  • Finishes with a single to retain strike

Axar Patel finishes an expensive spell: 4-0-52-0 – a rare off day for the ever-consistent left-armer.

With one over to go, RCB will be hoping Tim David (21 off 14)* can go full beast mode and take them past 160. Can they finish strong?

RCB 127/7 after 18 overs – Spinners strangle RCB as Krunal departs!

He gets Krunal Pandya (18 off 18) with a clever delivery outside off, and the rest of the over was textbook control – not giving an inch. Spinners have completely taken over this game on a sluggish track.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1 off 4) is now with Tim David (4 off 8), who hasn’t found timing or rhythm at all. With just two overs to go, RCB are in serious trouble of finishing below 140.

Unless Tim David explodes now, this might be curtains. What’s your take—can he still salvage something like a 15-ball 30 cameo to give RCB hope?

Krunal Pandya c Ashutosh Sharma b Vipraj Nigam 18(18) [4s-1]

RCB 125/6 after 17 overs – Kuldeep Yadav wraps up a sensational spell!
He mixed his pace, turned it both ways, and completely choked the RCB batters in the middle overs. This final over from him yielded just 4 singles—no boundaries since the 14th!

Tim David (3 off 7) is really struggling to pick the variations, and Krunal Pandya (18 off 17) hasn’t quite taken off either. RCB need a serious final push now.

With just 3 overs left, what’s your guess—can RCB get to 150? Or is this heading to a sub-par finish around 140?

RCB 121/6 after 16 overs – Vipraj keeps it tight!

Another miserly over, this time from Vipraj Nigam, who’s quietly building pressure from his end. Just 4 runs off it, and he’s bowled a superb spell so far: 3-0-16-1. His variations, especially the googly, are proving tricky to handle.

Krunal Pandya (16 off 15) is hanging in but needs to shift gears soon, while Tim David (1 off 3) hasn’t found his timing yet. With only 4 overs left, RCB are in danger of undershooting big time unless one of them unleashes something special.

They’ve got wickets in hand but are running out of balls. A 160+ total still possible—but only if someone starts finding the fence now.

10 Apr 2025, 8:45 PM GMT+5:30

RCB 117/6 after 15 overs – Kuldeep Strikes Again!
Kuldeep Yadav is weaving a web around RCB! He gets the big wicket of Rajat Patidar (25 off 23) who was holding the innings together. That’s Kuldeep’s second, and his figures now read an outstanding 3-0-13-2.

RCB’s innings is wobbling dangerously. Krunal Pandya showed some intent with a clean hit down the ground, but the boundaries are few and far between. With Tim David the new man in, RCB need some serious fireworks in the last 5 overs to push for a competitive total.

At this rate, even 150 might be a challenge unless someone goes berserk. Can Tim David or Krunal be that guy?

Rajat Patidar c Rahul b Kuldeep Yadav 25(23) [4s-1 6s-1]

10 Apr 2025, 8:42 PM GMT+5:30

RCB 112/5 after 14 overs – Patchy Progress Amid Pressure
Mukesh Kumar continues to impress with his discipline. Just 7 runs off the over, with Krunal Pandya surviving a couple of close calls. RCB are in a tricky spot – a few streaky boundaries, controlled bowling, and mounting pressure.

Patidar and Krunal are trying to stitch something together, but the lack of fluency is evident. With only 6 overs left, RCB will need to accelerate smartly without losing more wickets – easier said than done given DC’s tight bowling and alert fielding.

RCB 105/5 in 13 Overs – Kuldeep Strikes Again
Kuldeep Yadav continues to choke the scoring and picks up a crucial wicket in the process. Jitesh Sharma departs after a nervy stay, misreading a top-spinner and gifting a simple catch to KL Rahul.

Just three runs come off the over as RCB lose their fifth and continue to stumble in the middle overs. Kuldeep turning up the heat with tight lines and subtle variations.

Jitesh Sharma c Rahul b Kuldeep Yadav 3(11)

RCB 102/4 after 12 Overs – Small Momentum Shift

A slightly better over for RCB as Rajat Patidar finds a much-needed boundary to ease the pressure. Mohit Sharma continues to keep things tight with his variations, but the batters are now rotating strike more effectively.

The 100 comes up for RCB, but the run rate still needs a push from here.

RCB 94/4 after 11 overs – Starc Pulls it Back
A tight over from Mitchell Starc, conceding just 3 runs and building more pressure on RCB’s middle order. Jitesh Sharma continues to struggle for timing and placement, and the momentum that RCB had in the Powerplay has completely faded.

Patidar is holding one end, but RCB needs a serious push from here – boundaries have dried up. DC’s bowlers tightening the screws nicely.

RCB 91/4 in 10 Overs – Mohit Sharma Strikes on Return
Mohit Sharma makes an instant impact with a brilliant over. He mixes his lengths cleverly, removing the dangerous Livingstone with a well-directed short ball. Jitesh struggles to get going as dot balls build up. Just 2 runs and a crucial wicket in the over – pressure firmly back on RCB as their middle order looks shaky.

Livingstone c Ashutosh Sharma b Mohit Sharma 4(6)

RCB 89/3 in 9 Overs – Kuldeep Keeps It Tight
Kuldeep Yadav starts off with a tidy over, mixing his variations well to keep both Patidar and Livingstone in check. A couple of singles and a well-controlled pull for two are all RCB could manage as the spinners continue to apply pressure in the middle overs.

RCB 84/3 in 8 Overs – Patidar Lifts the Tempo
Axar returns but gets no respite. Rajat Patidar shows intent, smashing a clean six over deep mid-wicket after surviving a close call—Faf nearly pulled off a stunning catch. Livingstone gets off the mark too as RCB look to rebuild with a balanced mix of caution and aggression.

RCB 74/3 in 7 Overs – Kohli Falls After a Brief Flourish
Vipraj Nigam continues and gets the big fish – Virat Kohli! After smashing a gorgeous six over long-on, Kohli perishes trying to keep the momentum going, mistiming a loft and finding Starc at long-off. A promising over for RCB turns bittersweet as DC strike again.

Kohli c Mitchell Starc b Vipraj Nigam 22(14) [4s-1 6s-2]

FIRST PLAYER IN IPL HISTORY TO COMPLETE 1000 BOUNDARIES – KING KOHLI

RCB 64/2 in 6 Overs – Mukesh Strikes, DC Claw Back
Mukesh Kumar comes on and delivers a brilliant over, a wicket-maiden to halt RCB’s storm. Devdutt Padikkal’s scratchy stay ends as he mistimes a lofted drive and is caught by Axar at mid-on. Pressure builds with dot balls, and Rajat Patidar is kept quiet. DC right back in the contest after Salt’s early blitz.

Padikkal c Axar b Mukesh Kumar 1(8)

RCB 64/1 after 5 overs- Vipraj Brings Control with a Frugal First Over
Virat Kohli 14(10), Devdutt Padikkal 1(4)**
Vipraj Nigam: 1-0-2-0

A tidy first over from Vipraj Nigam, who came in with his leg-spin and immediately applied the brakes. He gave very little away, mixing up his pace and lengths smartly. Kohli and Padikkal could only manage singles, with the rest being dots as both batters struggled to find timing. Padikkal looked a bit edgy, missing a slog-sweep and mistiming a pull.

RCB 62/1 after 4 overs- Big Blow as Salt Falls After Blistering Knock
Virat Kohli 13(7), Devdutt Padikkal 0(1)**
Axar Patel: 2-0-25-0

Axar Patel brought some relief for Delhi with a mixed over that included a stunning Kohli six and a crucial breakthrough. Phil Salt missed a drive first ball, then took a quick single. Kohli followed with a classy six over cover, then turned one for a single. The big moment came next—Salt was run out after a miscommunication and slip while turning back. Devdutt Padikkal walked in and nearly fell over chasing a wide one. A quieter over, but full of drama.

RCB 53/0 after 3 overs
Philip Salt 36(14), Virat Kohli 10(5)**

Mitchell Starc’s second over turned into a nightmare as Philip Salt went absolutely berserk. The over began with Salt clobbering a full delivery over mid-on for six, followed by a pair of fours – a carved shot over backward point and a flicked drive wide of mid-on. Then came a no-ball, which Salt sliced uppishly past mid-off for four, despite a diving effort from Stubbs. The free-hit that followed was smoked off a top-edge for a six over the keeper’s head. A leg bye followed, and Kohli capped off the over with a fine glance to the boundary at fine leg. 30 runs came off the over as RCB surged ahead.

Mitchell Starc: 2-0-36-0

RCB 23/0 after 2 overs
Philip Salt 12(8), Virat Kohli 6(4)**

Axar Patel came into the attack with his left-arm orthodox spin but was taken on by Philip Salt. The over began with a streaky boundary from Kohli, who backed away to a short ball and sliced it over short third man for four. Kohli managed a single off the third ball, before Salt took charge. He first pulled a rank long hop over mid-wicket for a six and followed it up with a crisp slap drive wide of cover for four. He ended the over with a single to long-off. Axar’s first over went for 16 runs.

Axar Patel: 1-0-16-0

RCB 7/0 in 1 Over – Starc Starts with Spice, but Extras Help RCB!

Mitchell Starc steams in to kick off the innings. First ball – dot! Good length just outside off, Salt looks to drive but can’t beat mid-off. Another dot! Salt’s searching for space but Starc’s accuracy is spot on, cramping him again.

Drama time! Third ball – chaos! Starc bangs in the bouncer but it’s way too high – five wides! KL Rahul leaps but can’t get a glove on it. The ball races away to the fence – RCB get going without a bat swing!

Salt finally gets one away next ball, opening his account with a soft steer behind point for a single. Kohli joins the action and taps it gently to backward point for a quick single – classic Kohli urgency!

Last two deliveries? Back to Salt – back to dots. Starc keeps it tight with one just outside off and finishes the over with a well-directed good length ball – no room, no run.

Starc gives away just 7 runs but RCB will happily take it thanks to that wild bouncer.
Kohli and Salt settling in – fireworks incoming?
