Former Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma was awarded the ‘Dressing Room Batting Award’ following MI’s seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. After a slow start to the IPL 2025 Rohit found his rhythm during the clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK), where he played a brilliant unbeaten knock of 76*. His effort powered MI to a dominant nine-wicket win over their arch-rivals marking a strong comeback for the veteran opener.
India’s ODI and Test captain Rohit Sharma carried his good form into Mumbai Indians’ recent match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), scoring a fluent 70 off 46 balls. His solid knock helped MI secure a comfortable win, and in recognition of his performance, he was given the ‘Dressing Room Batting Award’.
Mumbai Indians shared the moment on their official X account (formerly Twitter), where Suryakumar Yadav is seen presenting the medal to Rohit in the dressing room. Here’s the video.

“Let’s keep doing what we’ve been doing consistently. I spoke in the huddle before the game about the importance of sticking to our plans, and today was another great example of that of being consistent. Let’s just carry that forward,” said Rohit Sharma after receiving the award from Suryakumar Yadav.
After a rough start to their IPL 2025 campaign, five-time champions Mumbai Indians bounced back in style with four wins on the trot. Led by Hardik Pandya, the team has climbed up to third place on the points table. Up next, MI will take on Lucknow Super Giants on April 27 at their home ground, the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
For the first time since 2016, Rohit Sharma has scored back-to-back half-centuries in the IPL. The last time he achieved this feat was nine years ago, when he hit consecutive fifties against Kolkata Knight Riders and Rising Pune Supergiants. This recent form marks a strong comeback for the seasoned opener in the 2025 season.
