Gujarat Titans big win has made life difficult for Delhi Capitals. With 13 points from 12 games, DC now need to win both of their remaining matches and also hope other results go their way. The race for the last playoff spot is tight, with Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants all still fighting for it.
On May 21, Mumbai Indians play Delhi Capitals in a make-or-break match if Mumbai win, they’ll be in a great spot for the last playoff place, and if Delhi lose, their season ends. Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants must win all three of their remaining games (against SRH, GT, and RCB) to reach 16 points, and even then they’ll need Punjab Kings to beat both Delhi and Mumbai and Delhi to beat Mumbai, plus hope their net run rate isn’t worse than Mumbai Indians.
