After a strong seven-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Mumbai Indians (MI) have climbed up the IPL 2025 points table. The five-time champions now sit in third place with 10 points from nine matches. More than just boosting their points, the win has also given their Net Run Rate a solid push, taking it up to +0.673.
MI’s Rise in IPL 2025 Points Table
Mumbai Indians have made a strong comeback this season. After a slow start, they’ve now won four matches in a row including a big win over SRH. With five wins and four losses, Hardik Pandya’s team is back in the race for the playoffs. But the competition is really close, so they can’t afford to slip up in the games ahead.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have lost six of eight games and sit at the bottom alongside Chennai Super Kings, both on four points and with poor net run rates (SRH –1.361, CSK –1.392). At the top, Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals share 12 points from eight matches with Gujarat leading on a +1.104 NRR and Delhi on +0.657. In the chase for the other playoff spots, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings and Lucknow Super Giants each have 10 points RCB (+0.472) and Punjab (+0.177) have solid NRRs, while Lucknow’s –0.054 could work against them if points are tied.
