Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally broke their three-match losing streak at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium with a hard-fought 11-run win over Rajasthan Royals (RR) on April 24 in IPL 2025. Josh Hazlewood played a key role in the win, delivering two match-turning overs in the 17th and 19th, where he gave away just seven runs and took three important wickets. RR looked well on track during their 206-run chase sitting comfortably at 110/3 after 9.1 overs, but RCB held their nerve and delivered a composed performance to seal the victory.
Virat Kohli scored 70 runs from 42 balls and Devdutt Padikkal made a fast 50 from 27 balls, helping RCB post 205 for 5. RCB moved to third place with six wins from nine matches. Rajasthan Royals struggled again suffering their seventh loss of the season. They are now eighth on the points table with just four points and might drop even lower after tomorrow’s game.
On April 25, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will take on SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a match between two teams that have had a tough IPL 2025 season so far. This game is important, as it could decide who ends up at the bottom of the table. CSK are currently in 10th place with just two wins from eight matches and the worst Net Run Rate (-1.392) in the league. SRH haven’t done much better, winning only one of their last seven games. They sit in ninth place with four points and an NRR of -1.361. The winner of this match will move up one spot to eighth pushing Rajasthan Royals down in the standings.
