Chasing 160, Porel played a fluent knock of 51 off 36 balls, while Rahul stayed unbeaten on 57 off 42, guiding DC home in just 17.5 overs. Skipper Axar Patel chipped in with a quickfire 34* off 20 balls, finishing the chase alongside Rahul, who also hit a personal milestone by becoming the fastest Indian to reach 5,000 IPL runs.
With this win, Delhi Capitals held on to second place in the points table, having secured 12 points from eight matches. They’ve won six and lost two, with a net run rate of +0.657 second only to Gujarat Titans. GT also have 12 points from eight games but sit at the top thanks to a stronger net run rate of +1.104.
