Updated Team Ranking, Standings, and Net Run Rate After SRH vs GT- IPL

IPL 2025 Points Table: Updated Team Ranking, Standings, and Net Run Rate After SRH vs GTShubman Gill’s Gujarat Titans triumphed over Pat Cummins Sunrisers Hyderabad, winning by 7 wickets in match 19 of IPL 2025 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 6 (Sunday). This was SRH’s fourth loss in a row. Batting first, they were restricted to just 152/8, abrilliant four-wicket spell from Mohammed Siraj. Later, solid knocks from Gill and Washington Sundar helped GT chase down the target comfortably, with 20 balls to spare.

Siraj set the tone early, dismissing the struggling openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma for cheap. He returned later in the innings to add two more to his tally, making the most of the slow pitch. While Prasidh Krishna (2/25) and R Sai Kishore (2/24) also delivered strong spells they had their moments of inconsistency. Despite SRH being 135 for eight at the start of the final over, a costly spell from Ishant Sharma, who gave away 53 runs, allowed them to crawl past the 150 mark. Head had a bit of luck early on when an edge off Siraj narrowly missed the stumps and ran away for four.

But Siraj wasn’t done yet. Travis Head tried to flick one but ended up giving a catch to Sai Sudharsan, who took a great diving catch at mid-wicket. The crowd got excited after a few boundaries, but Siraj struck again. Abhishek Sharma went for a big shot, mistimed it, and was caught at mid-on. By the end of the powerplay, SRH were 45 for two and their opening problems this season continued. Gujarat looked in control, but there was a brief concern when Glenn Phillips got injured. After getting help from the physio, he limped off the field.

Ishan Kishan (17) was dismissed when he mistimed a pull shot off a short ball from Prasidh Krishna, sending it to deep square leg where Ishant Sharma took the catch. Heinrich Klaasen (27 off 19) and Nitish Kumar Reddy (31 off 34) tried to steady things for SRH with a 50-run stand for the fourth wicket. Klaasen even took on Rashid Khan, hitting a few boundaries and a six. But just as SRH looked like they were building towards a decent total, left-arm spinner Sai Kishore struck. He bowled Klaasen, who was trying to pull but misjudged the shot. Then, at the start of the 16th over with SRH at 105 for five, Reddy also fell while trying to go big against Sai Kishore.

SRH got off to a great start, picking up two early wickets. Sai Sudharsan (5 off 9) and Jos Buttler (0 off 3) were both back in the dugout by the fourth over, with Shami removing Sai and Cummins dismissing Buttler. But a crucial 90-run stand between Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar brought GT back into the game. Shami broke the partnership, but by then, the momentum had already shifted. Sundar missed out on a well-deserved fifty by just one run.

After that, Sherfane Rutherford came in and played a quick cameo, smashing 35 runs off just 16 balls. Gill stayed unbeaten on 61, guiding GT to a comfortable win. This marked SRH’s fourth straight loss. They’ve played five matches so far after a strong start things have gone downhill. On the other hand, this win helped GT move up to second place on the points table.
